On 01/17/2009, Mike wrote: After 3.5 years of building, QB56 (N2828M) took to the air today with Danny Sorensen as test pilot. The plane performed well behind the O-540 with outside air temperatures in the mid 30's and calm winds. Only some minor issues were noted such as slight right rudder is needed so I may add a trim tab. I took it out for the second flight and have to say it is an amazing feeling to fly behind a machine I built with the help and support of family and some good friends. Not to mention, these are impressive planes anyway. I won't have any pictures for a while as my computer is recovering from a virus, but I'll post some pictures when that gets fixed. For those of you still building, I can say there is light at the end of the tunnel and it was definitely worth the effort. Mike Creek Elko, NV
